  • 100% Allicin
  • Support the body's natural defenses

Allimax® is made from fresh, raw garlic. Heads of garlic are specifically selected to ensure that they contain significant enzyme activity (allinase enzyme). Garlic heads are split into cloves, which are left unpeeled and then subjected to crushing, filtration and a temperature controlled extraction process designed to produce pure liquid allicin dissolved in water. No chemical solvents are used. The allicin amino acid in fresh garlic is subjected to complete conversion by the allinase enzyme and a large volume of active allicin is harvested. The volume of allicin produced is directly related to the enzymatic activity.

A broad range of bacteria, including E. coli, Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes, Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Acetobacter baumanii, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Enterococcus faecium, Myco-bacterium tuberculosis, H. pylori, Salmonella, Clostridium and Shigella are allicin-sensitive.

Allicin has a powerful antifungal effect, with a minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) against various Candida species of only 0.15 to 0.8 mcg/ml, and is effective against other fungal species of Cryptococcus, Trichophyton, Epider-mophyton and Microsporum at MIC of 1.57-6.25 mcg/ml.

Allicin has shown antiparasite activity at 30 mcg/ml against Entamoeba histolytica, Giardia lamblia, and Leshmania. Allicin has in vitro and in vivo activity against human cytomegalo-virus, influenza B, herpes simplex virus 1 and 2, parainfluenza virus type 3, vaccinia virus, vesicular stomatitis virus and human rhinovirus type 2.
